There is some disagreement on what was Willie Randolph's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1980, when he stole 30 bases and hit for a .294 average. However, others believe that it was 1979, when he stole 33 bases and knocked in 61 runs.
He was the manager of the Mets from 2005–08, compiling a career managerial record of 302-253. He was 6-4 in the postseason as the Mets' skipper.
