Walter Donaldson

Biography Walter Donaldson (1907 - 1973) was a Scottish professional snooker player. He turned professional aged just 16, in 1923. He contested many world championships, finally achieving victory in 1947 after Joe Davis had retired from the tournament, and again in 1950. His break of 142 in 1946 was a world record at the time. Upon his retirement, he is said to have broken up his snooker table and used the slate to make crazy paving.
