Born on August 6, 1974 in Los Teques, Miranda (Venezuela), Victor Zambrano (Victor Manuel Zambrano) played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and New York Mets over the course of his 6 year career. Zambrano broke into the bigs on June 21, 2001 with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and put up a 3.16 ERA in 51.1 innings pitched in 2001, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Victor Zambrano's best season was 2003, when he posted a 4.21 ERA, won 12 games and struck out 132 batters.
