Tuck Turner (George A. Turner) was born on February 13, 1873 in West New Brighton, New York. He made his Major League debut on August 18, 1893 for the Philadelphia Phillies. In 1893, his rookie year, he hit .323 with 1 home run and 13 RBI. Turner played for the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Perfectos over the course of his 6 year career.
