After going to high school at Abraham Lincoln Prep (San Diego, CA), Davis attended California State University, Long Beach and the University of Georgia. Davis made his professional debut in the NFL in 1995 with the Denver Broncos. He played for the Denver Broncos for his entire 7 year career.
