Born on November 2, 1976 in Noord, Aruba, Sidney Ponson (Sidney Alton Ponson) played for the Baltimore Orioles, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals and New York Yankees over the course of his 9 year career. Ponson broke into the bigs on April 19, 1998 with the Baltimore Orioles, and put up a 5.27 ERA in 135 innings pitched in 1998, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Sidney Ponson's best season was 2003, when he posted a 3.75 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 134 batters.
