Biography[]

Born on November 9, 1971 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Scott Sauerbeck (Scott William Sauerbeck) played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians and Oakland Athletics over the course of his 7 year career. Sauerbeck broke into the bigs on April 5, 1999 with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and put up a 2.00 ERA in 67.2 innings pitched in 1999, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Scott Sauerbeck's best season was 2002, when he posted a 2.30 ERA and struck out 70 batters.
