Biography

Rob Deer (Robert George Deer) was born on September 29, 1960 in Orange, California. He made his Major League debut on September 4, 1984 for the San Francisco Giants. In 1985, his rookie year, he hit .185 with 8 home runs and 20 RBI. Deer played for the San Francisco Giants, Milwaukee Brewers, Detroit Tigers, Boston Red Sox and San Diego Padres over the course of his 11 year career.

There is some disagreement on what was Rob Deer's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1986, when he slugged 33 home runs and knocked in 86 runs. However, others believe that it was 1987, when he slugged 28 home runs and knocked in 80 runs.
