The Oakland Raiders have hired Art Shell to be their new head coach. After a six week hunt, the Raiders settled on Shell, who will replace the ineffectual Norv Turner. Shell coached the Raiders from 1988-1994. A press conference to announce the hiring is scheduled for tomorrow.
