April 14th 2006 - The New Jersey Nets went into Boston and beat the Celtics despite scoring a paultry 25 points in the opening half. The Nets shot 24% in the opening half, making only 8 shots. Jefferson, Kidd, and Carter combined to shoot 10 for 35. Yet the Nets shot 53% as a team in the second half to beat the Celtics 79-74. The Nets are locked into the 3rd seed in the East. The Celtics will be watching from home.
And when you can't beat a team that scores 25 in the opening half you can see why.
