Biography[]

Mo Vaughn (Maurice Samuel Vaughn) was born on December 15, 1967 in Norwalk, Connecticut. He made his Major League debut on June 27, 1991 for the Boston Red Sox. In 1991, his rookie year, he hit .260 with 4 home runs and 32 RBI. Vaughn played for the Boston Red Sox, Anaheim Angels and New York Mets over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that Mo Vaughn's best season was 1996, when he slugged 44 home runs, hit for a .326 average and knocked in 143 runs.

Vaughn was also one of the players named in baseball's Mitchell Report. According to the report, Glenallen Hill was the person that referred Vaughn to former Mets clubhouse attendant Kirk Radomski. Vaughn allegedly bought HGH from Radomski starting in 2001. Radomski produced 3 checks from Vaughn, all for HGH, because Vaughn was "afraid of the big needles." Vaughn's name, as well as his address and a phone number, is listed in Radomski's seized address book.

Like many other players, Vaughn declined to meet with investigators for the Mitchell Report.
