Mike Piazza (Michael Joseph Piazza) was born on September 4, 1968 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 1, 1992 for the Los Angeles Dodgers . In 1993 , his rookie year, he hit .318 with 35 home runs and 112 RBI. Piazza played for the Los Angeles Dodgers , New York Mets , Florida Marlins and San Diego Padres over the course of his 15 year career.
Most people believe that Mike Piazza's best season was 1997 , when he slugged 40 home runs, hit for a .362 average and knocked in 124 runs.
