Mark Teixeira (Mark Charles Teixeira) was born on April 11, 1981 in Annapolis, Maryland. He made his Major League debut on April 1, 2003 for the Texas Rangers. In 2003, his rookie year, he hit .259 with 26 home runs and 84 RBI. Teixeira played for the Texas Rangers and Atlanta Braves over the course of his 5 year career.
