Biography[]

Born on February 20, 1975 in Villa Clara, Cuba, Livan Hernandez (Eisler Livan Hernandez) played for the Florida Marlins, San Francisco Giants, Montreal Expos, Washington Nationals and Arizona Diamondbacks over the course of his 11 year career. Hernandez broke into the bigs on September 24, 1996 with the Florida Marlins, and put up a 3.18 ERA in 96.1 innings pitched in 1997, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Livan Hernandez's best season was 2003, when he posted a 3.20 ERA, won 15 games and struck out 178 batters.
