Biography[]
Kelly Shoppach (Kelly Brian Shoppach) was born on April 29, 1980 in Fort Worth, Texas. He made his Major League debut on May 28, 2005 for the Boston Red Sox. Shoppach played for the Boston Red Sox and Cleveland Indians over the course of his 2 year career.
Shoppach is currently the back-up catcher for the Cleveland Indians, and is Paul Byrd's personal catcher.
Shoppach was part of a trade that sent him, Andy Marte, and Guillermo Mota to the Cleveland Indians, and Coco Crisp, David Riske, and Josh Bard to the Boston Red Sox.
