Jerry Remy (Gerald Peter Remy) was born on November 8, 1952 in Fall River, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on April 7, 1975 for the California Angels. In 1975, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 1 home run and 46 RBI. Remy played for the California Angels and Boston Red Sox over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that Jerry Remy's best season was 1977, when he stole 41 bases.
He now provides color commentary on Red Sox television broadcasts, alongside Don Orsillo. In the 2007 season, he was named Interim President of Red Sox Nation, a fanclub for Red Sox fans all around the world. He also has his own website the Remy Report [1].
