Jerry Adair (Kenneth Jerry Adair) was born on December 17, 1936 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He made his Major League debut on September 2, 1958 for the Baltimore Orioles. In 1961, his rookie year, he hit .264 with 9 home runs and 37 RBI. Adair played for the Baltimore Orioles, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox and Kansas City Royals over the course of his 13 year career.
Most people believe that Jerry Adair's best season was 1962, when he hit for a .284 average.
