Trivia[]
In Buzz Bissinger's book "Three Nights in August", he mentions St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa's agony over Drew's lack of passion. La Russa tells Bissinger that it seems like Drew has decided to "settle for 75%" of his talent, in large part because of his enormous contract.
J.D.'s two brothers, Tim and Stephen, have both been on MLB rosters. Tim was with the Cleveland Indians and Stephen is currently a shortstop with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
