Biography[]

Hee-Seop Choi (Hee-Seop Choi) was born on March 16, 1979 in Chun-Nam, South Korea. He made his Major League debut on September 3, 2002 for the Chicago Cubs. In 2003, his rookie year, he hit .218 with 8 home runs and 28 RBI. Choi played for the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers and Florida Marlins over the course of his 4 year career.

Most people believe that Hee-Seop Choi's best season was 2004, when he slugged 15 home runs.

Choi fell out of favor with the Los Angeles Dodgers and he was released before the 2006 season. The Boston Red Sox, worried about their first base situation scooped him up and stashed him away in Pawtucket.
