Freddy Sanchez (Frederick Philip Sanchez) was born on December 21, 1977 in Hollywood, California. He made his Major League debut on September 10, 2002 for the Boston Red Sox. In 2005, his rookie year, he hit .291 with 5 home runs and 35 RBI. Sanchez played for the Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates over the course of his 5 year career.

Most people believe that Freddy Sanchez's best season was 2006, when he hit for a .344 average and knocked in 85 runs, winning the National League batting title.
