UEFA Champions League is the top-flight competition in European football. Only the top ranked teams in each league are invited, and it is the most prestigious (and profitable) tournament in European competition.
Champions League began as the European Cup in the 1955-56 season. The most successful team over has been Real Madrid, who has won 9 titles, followed by AC Milan (6), and Liverpool (5).
