==Biography==Eli Grba (born August 9, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois) was a pitcher for the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels in Major League Baseball.
He was originally signed by the Boston Red Sox as an amateur free agent before the 1952 season.
On March 14, 1957, he and Gordie Windhorn were traded by the Boston Red Sox, before having played a major league game, to the New York Yankees for Bill Renna. He played his first game for the Yankees on July 10, 1959, wearing uniform number 47. The next year he played for the Yankees wearing number 18.
On December 14, 1960, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels from the New York Yankees in the 1960 expansion draft. He played for the Angels wearing uniform number 33. His last game was played on August 4, 1963.
There is some disagreement on what was Eli Grba's most productive season. Some believe that it was 1961, when he posted a 4.25 ERA, won 11 games and struck out 105 batters. However, others believe that it was 1962, when he posted a 4.54 ERA and struck out 90 batters.
