Biography

Born on January 6, 1920 in Hartford, Alabama, Early Wynn (Early Wynn) played for the Washington Senators, Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 23 year career. Wynn broke into the bigs on September 13, 1939 with the Washington Senators, and put up a 5.12 ERA in 190 innings pitched in 1942, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Early Wynn's best season was 1954, when he posted a 2.73 ERA, won 23 games and struck out 155 batters.
