Biography [ ]
Born on January 6, 1920 in Hartford, Alabama, Early Wynn (Early Wynn) played for the Washington Senators , Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 23 year career. Wynn broke into the bigs on September 13, 1939 with the Washington Senators , and put up a 5.12 ERA in 190 innings pitched in 1942, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Early Wynn's best season was 1954 , when he posted a 2.73 ERA, won 23 games and struck out 155 batters.
