Biography[]
Drew Carter (Drew Carter) was born on September 5, 1981 in Solon, Ohio. After going to high school at Solon (OH), Carter attended Ohio State University. Carter made his professional debut in the NFL in 2005 with the Carolina Panthers. He has played for the Carolina Panthers for his entire 2 year career.
Carter's first ever competitive game of football was in his senior year of high school. In the season, he posted up 33 receptions, 890 yards, and three touchdowns.
After graduating from Solon High School in Ohio, Carter soon enrolled to Ohio State University, trying out for the football team and making the cut. But, he was limited playing time due to season ending injuries to his knees and ankles. He was only able to produce 41 catches, 632 yards, with only one touchdown in his college football career.
Carter was then drafted to the Carolina Panthers, late in the 5th round. His rookie season would want to be his most forgettable one. He was placed on the injury reserved after tearing his ACL in 2004 during June coaching sessions. He made the roster the following year in 2005, only a 4th string though. His first ever NFL catch was 44 yards long, setting up a Panther field goal. In his 2006 season, Carter put up good numbers for a 3rd string, putting up 28 receptions, 460 yards for 3 touchdowns. He is currently playing as a second string receiver, behind Steve Smith.
Most people believe that 2006 was Drew Carter's best year.
