Biography
Born on December 10, 1977 in Providence, Rhode Island, Dan Wheeler (Daniel Michael Wheeler) played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, New York Mets, Houston Astros, and Tampa Bay Rays over the course of his 8 year career. Wheeler broke into the bigs on September 1, 1999 with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, and put up a 3.71 ERA in 51 innings pitched in 2003, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Dan Wheeler's best season was 2006, when he posted a 2.52 ERA and struck out 68 batters.
