Born on November 22, 1946 in El Sabino, Sinaloa (Mexico), Cy Acosta (Cecilio (Miranda) Acosta) played for the Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Phillies over the course of his 4 year career. Acosta broke into the bigs on June 4, 1972 with the Chicago White Sox, and put up a 2.23 ERA in 97 innings pitched in 1973, his rookie year.
