Chicago Cubs SP Kerry Wood was held out of pitching a rookie game in Arizona because of muscle tightness. Cubs pitching coach Larry Rothschild stated that Wood's latest discomfort wasn't in the right shoulder where he had arthroscopic surgery last August. "It's lower, below the armpit," Rothschild said. "He went through the bullpen and was fine. But he didn't feel all the way right with it. He thought it would be better not to throw in the game after he warmed up."
