Biography[]
Cal Abrams (Calvin Ross Abrams) was born on March 2, 1924 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on April 20, 1949 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1951, his rookie year, he hit .280 with 3 home runs and 19 RBI. Abrams played for the Brooklyn Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, Baltimore Orioles and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 8 year career.
Most people believe that Cal Abrams's best season was 1953, when he slugged 15 home runs and hit for a .286 average.
