Brad Ausmus (Bradley David Ausmus) was born on April 14, 1969 in New Haven, Connecticut. He made his Major League debut on July 28, 1993 for the San Diego Padres. In 1993, his rookie year, he hit .256 with 5 home runs and 12 RBI. Ausmus played for the San Diego Padres, Detroit Tigers and Houston Astros over the course of his 14 year career.
