Biography
B.J. Upton (Melvin Emanuel Upton) was born on August 21, 1984 in Norfolk, Virginia. He made his Major League debut on August 2, 2004 for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. In 2004, his rookie year, he hit .258 with 4 home runs and 12 RBI. Upton played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for his entire 3 year career.
