Biography[]

Born on December 28, 1975 in Bossier City, Louisiana, B.J. Ryan (Robert Victor Ryan) played for the Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles and Toronto Blue Jays over the course of his 8 year career. Ryan broke into the bigs on July 28, 1999 with the Cincinnati Reds, and put up a 4.25 ERA in 53 innings pitched in 2001, his rookie year.

Most people believe that B.J. Ryan's best season was 2006, when he posted a 1.37 ERA, notched 38 saves and struck out 86 batters.
