Bronson Arroyo was good on Saturday night, allowing 3 runs in 6 IP, but he wasn't good enough to stop the red hot Arizona Diamondbacks who beat the Cincinnati Reds 3-1. Claudio Vargas outdueled Arroyo going 6 IP with only 1 run allowed for the win. He is now 4-1 on the year. Arroyo fell to 5-1.
Johnny Estrada, now batting .321 on the year, went 3-4 with 3 doubles, scoring twice and knocking in a run. Chad Tracy, Shawn Green, and Orlando Hudson each pitched in 2 hits. Felipe Lopez and Edwin Encarnacion each got 2 hits in a losing effort.
