Baseball Strategy:Guide to Smart Baseball

Why didn't he pinch hit for him? Does he not know what a double switch is? How many times have you wondered out loud that you could be a much better manager, then oh, say, Grady Little. Well now you can be! ArmchairGM needs your help. Let's put together a Guide to Smart Baseball. When is it appropriate to hit and run? When should you intentionally walk a batter? Uniform Number Project

One project needed on ArmchairGM is a page for each uniform number that's been retired, in any sport by any team (including college sports). For example, 42 (uniform number) would list Jackie Robinson and whomever else has had that number retired, broken down by sport and team.

Then, all current players (and for good measure, retired players who played predominantly under one or two numbers) would have their uniform number linked to that page. A reader could click the link to see the history of that number.

We would like to create a page for each baseball team that includes the all-time career and single season records for each team. Click here to see an example and contribute to this project.

NASCAR Project

ArmchairGM would like to expand to include NASCAR coverage, allowing for extensive news, opinions, and encyclopedic information regarding NASCAR.

Formula One History

This project is seeking to expand historical information of Formula One, ranging from the F1 Calendar, World Champions, Teams, etc. Please click Formula One History if you want to help with this project. Contact User: Alex Holowczak if you are going to change anything vital, however. (Contact him here)

In relation to this, there have been many Grands Prix in history not on the Championship calendar. Type GP-(year) to view any of these pages. Put any races you know of existing that have missed on this page. They will be added at a later date. Be sure to sign the race with four tildas (~) so that the writer can be checked.

Stadium Project

This project is created in hopes that ArmchairGM can provide a database of information on stadiums, past, present and future, in the MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, AFL, and other sports, including college stadiums.

For those who want to help: First, we need to make list pages for the different leagues, all of which should look similar to MLB Stadiums. Afterwards, you should go through the different arenas and add a template to it using {{subst:[templatename]}}; for instance, putting {{subst:Baseball Stadium}} into Yankee Stadium and hitting preview to add the infobox to it. Hope that makes sense... The different templates are below:
