Biography[]

Born on July 31, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio, Al Aber (Albert Julius Aber) played for the Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers and Kansas City Athletics over the course of his 6 year career. Aber broke into the bigs on September 15, 1950 with the Cleveland Indians, and put up a 4.71 ERA in 72.2 innings pitched in 1953, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Al Aber's best season was 1955, when he posted a 3.38 ERA.
