The 2005 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament was played through April 4, 2005. The Final Four took place in the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Missouri. University of North Carolina, coached by Roy Williams, won its fourth national championship.
During the Final Four, the national semifinals matched up the winners of the Chicago and Albuquerque regions, and the Syracuse and Austin regions.
