MLB suspended Toronto Blue Jays's minor league pitcher Edward Rodriguez after he tested positive for a banned performance-enhancing substance. Rodriguez, the 10th player suspended this year under the minor league program, was assigned to the Lansing Lugnuts Class-A Midwest League. The 21-year-old is 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA in six relief appearances. J.P. Ricciardi said that "He made a mistake; what are you going to do? He's got to suffer the consequences." Rodriguez faces a 50 game penalty for the violation.
